We are looking for beta testers who will use Shelf-Help during real shopping moments, then tell us what worked, what failed, what was confusing, and what would make it better.
Private beta

Use Shelf-Help with groceries, hardware, auto parts, electronics, farmers markets, imported products, online listings, recipes, deal-finding requests, and follow-up questions. Successes and mistakes are both valuable.
Who we are looking for.
Beta testers do not need to be technical. We want people who can use the app naturally, explain what happened, and share practical recommendations.
Everyday environments
Use Shelf-Help at grocery stores, warehouse stores, hardware aisles, auto parts counters, electronics shelves, specialty markets, farmers markets, and online shopping situations.
Successes, misses, and ideas
Tell us when Shelf-Help helped, when it misunderstood something, when the language felt wrong, when context was lost, or when a new feature would have solved the problem.
What to test.
Try Shelf-Help before, during, and after shopping. The best beta feedback comes from normal use, not scripted demos.
Ask without a photo
Start with a recipe, shopping list, household need, product question, or deal-finding request.
Ask with a photo
Use shelves, labels, packages, ingredient panels, price tags, tools, parts, or product displays.
Test follow-up questions
Ask “what else do I need?”, “is there a cheaper option?”, “how do I use this?”, or “does that change if I’m shopping for three people?”
Test language behavior
Ask in Spanish, French, Hindi, Japanese, Tagalog, Arabic, Urdu, or any language you can evaluate well.
Test deal finding
Ask whether there may be a better price nearby, then tell us if the links, stores, units, and location assumptions were useful.
Test edge cases
Imported labels, unclear packaging, missing sizes, local brands, substitutions, specialty diets, and non-grocery products are all useful tests.

Beta download links, access codes, installation notes, and current known issues will be provided to accepted testers and posted here when available.

Tester expectations
Be curious, direct, and practical.
Report what happened, what you expected, screenshots when useful, the language used, the type of store or product, and whether the answer helped you make a better shopping decision.
